in no way am i expecting this to be up to par with Wildlife (my AOTY), or probably even Parting the Sea. also, i'm hearing that they stripped away some of the post-rock elements in their sound? shit, that was the one thing that i liked the most about Old Pride.

The wave is just a term for La Dispute, PBTT, Touche Amore, Make Do and Mend, and Defeater because they're all a part of this growing scene in hardcore/post hardcore and they're all friends that tour and release splits and tour with each other
I was told in some other thread that it was a term for the bands recently coming out of Michigan (LD, PBTT, and whoever) but I really don't know and the term bothers me as well, if only because I'm not sure who/what it includes

Lyrics on Parting The Sea were hilarious and the album was pretty repetitive as a whole
