Meh. Sober is great and Crawl Away is good, but everything else is meh. And yeah sometimes the emotion can make an ok album into a very good one, but that just doesn't happen here.

Shut the hell up. Why would you be on a music discussion site like Sputnik only to get insanely butthurt about your favorite albums? "Hey guys let's talk about your opinions on this album BUT I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY OF IT". People tried to actually discuss why they prefer other albums, and you just shot them down. I sincerely hope you aren't capable of breeding.

Undertow got me into Tool, like it as much as Lateralus but Aenima best.

I don't mind discussing albums, but this is bullshit. This is the only site where I have seen 10k Days ranked higher than Undertow.

I think it's pretty obvious when I look at albums like Justin Beiber, Nickelback, many rap albums, etc, that this site has its little clique's. Obviously someone likes these albums or they wouldn't be selling and highly rated somewhere else less biased?

Even though the quote isn't that well put together anyone who knows the back story to 10,000 Days tracks can somewhat agree with the speaker there; "Wings For Marie" and "10,000 Days" are some of the most powerful and personal tracks Maynard has done to date in some peoples opinion.

Maynard's most powerful and personal tracks are on Undertow. Undertow is his shadow. It is the predator. It is the bewildered and confused. It is Maynard at his most vulnerable and most aggressive moment.

The thing is not everyone loves Maynard at his most aggressive (and as to how just one track becomes his most aggressive is beyond me); he's almost always got some form of aggression weaving throughout his music, and to me Undertow see's this at it's weakest lyrically.

That's fine but you are missing the point. The point is even if you don't like it you cannot *TOUCH* this god damn album. This is a perfect album.

You can read how many good things people have to say on Amazon about this album and how few bad things there is to say about it. With an average rating of 4.6, higher than any other Tool album, I think that speaks for itself.

That's just one album, if you want to use comparisons like that you'd be better off with a collection of scores from all around, like the way Metacritic does. Name dropping Amazon does nothing but make your point seem weaker in the end.
