Haven't heard this yet , but looking at the rating charts i must ask, is this really better than his previous stuff like Light bulb sun, In Absentia ...? Hmm ..

Deviant probably expected dubstep vocals when he downloaded this.

What are dubstep vocals? Do you mean like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOlBZGFu9vc ?

Deviant we got this crazy project called digital sequencing, and anyway, I'm trying my hand at some big beat - gonna be rad.

Coming from you I'd still have to take an obligatory grain of salt.

I gotta check this out in full, only heard a couple tracks but they were pretty great. Remainder the Black Dog is a really great prog song.

Remainder the Black Dog is a really great prog song.

Apparently that song features Steve Hackett (Genesis) on guitar.

I need to give this a proper listen too. What I've heard from it so far sounds pretty good.

Porcupine Tree's best song is almost as good as the worst song from this album. Plus, this flows better than any of their albums. PT fans are also snobs so they will always hate Steven Wilson's last record, don't listen to them. If you are a fan of Tool, Opeth and other better bands you will definitely love this.

Pretty much,

I mean a lot of people will end up complaining about the 81 minutes of length but it only adds to how good it is.

Well that would definitely explain most of it. I'm still amazed at this average, but I see it going down a couple points.

What the hell, this sucks, it doesn't go anywhere. It's not even a 2.5.

Well I'm not exactly a newcomer, seifer dude. Just check out my fav bands on my profile =]

Also, is this similar to Insurgentes?

Index is, but the rest of the album is more of a mix between pop and classic 60's/70's prog. Less obscure than Insurgente, which is a good thing if you ask me.
