Okay the wanky bit in Divded Day pisses the fuck out of me, completely out of place, dull fucking
pointless and ugly and ruins good moments of the song.
First track is brilliant, its interesting how the tune is repeated throughout the song but it remains
interesting, there's a good amount of tension built with the layering.

I haven't been in the mood for this style to give it a fair listen... Although I will say that they have serious skill from what I've heard.

I love Divided Day to death. Although I can see why it'd be irritating. And agreed about The Man Without Skin. I love the hopeless vibe in Erik's vocals. Same thing with Shallow World.
Also, the main riff on Incision is killer.

Yeah they apparently wanked quite a bit in their old band, but they focus more on atmosphere in this new band, but its not a very diverse record. Has good moments though

Try The Towers of Avarice whenever you can. It's awesome. As far as wankery goes, their most wanky from ZH material was Dark Deceiver.

I don't see the big deal about the vocalist tbh, nothing too special imo. Maybe I'm missing something

'' A Song of Unrest'' is an excellent track.

Both this and ReEvolution suffer from the exact same flaw: There's just way too much pretty stuff and not enough action. As much as I like the softer sections, they got the balance completely wrong to the point that there's more softer parts than actual metal. It doesn't help that every single one of these sections seems to feature the exact same chord progression.
That being said, there are lots of moments on both records that I really like. Neither are anywhere near The Towers of Avarice, though.
