Eh, I didn't have a problem with the length of the review, as it kept my interest the whole way.
I'm more inclined to agree with Kyle's review, since I think what they do right on this just about saves it, but, man, I don't like all the interludes and shit. They should have just released this as an EP with three or four of the best songs.

crysis said it better than I could have, it's not because they sound like WitTR (that's a good thing really), it's just that their songwriting is beginning to seem lazy so you know exactly what's going to happen.
I wouldn't say it's lazy by any stretch, almost every bm band utilizes their same styles over and over again. I mean, this is like a close Two Hunters for me which is the only criticism from me, but what they do do, they do it well. I'm entranced for 50 mins of atmospheric bm, what else do you want? Arizmenda essentially wrote the same atmospheric bm album twice and it still sounds awesome to me. I think it's kind of a stretch in saying the songwriting is lazy when they hit upon on all the elements they do well.
But hey, I still gave you a vote because you're a great writer, far better than myself.

i guess I just found it nowhere near as compelling as you did so the songwriting didn't rub off on me like it did you. it's cool though, i'd much prefer that someone was enjoying the album than not enjoying it. thanks for the pos, too. :]
