The album has aged well. Although, I still am not a fan, whatsoever of Vinnies writing. Bed is by far my least favorite

song on Daisy, possibly in their whole discog. Handcuffs as well...

toxin.

I dig Be Gone. That riff is monster in its own right.

This review is gayer than Boy George.

(And I loved it)

@Slum, I wasn't trying to be jerk about it. I was just saying. The internet's tone deaf.

And no, I've never smoked or been offered to...

This review is really excellent sums up of how I see the album: an awesome, abrasive mess.

Great review. I agree with most of what you said about this album but disagree about The Devil and God fading out. Even as Daisy grows on me with time, The Devil and God is the album I have the most emotional connection to.

That was a seriously amazing review Adam, congrats. And he's 100% right, Daisy gets far more regular plays from me just because it's such a giant, defiant Fuck You to anyone's expectations. They knew everyone wanted another TDAGARIM and Brand New did the exact opposite and channelled Nirvana, MM and Jesus Lizard instead for great lulz. Definitely a lot of parallels with TDAG/Nevermind and Daisy/In Utero at least to me.

Why are the staff suddenly writing all these totally unnecessary reviews for old albums?

The same reason we're all still listening to the album.

How could you say that Sink or Bought a Bride are better than You Stole, Bed, and In a Jar?

Either way, this is an incredible review for probably my favourite album of all time. Great job, I just loved it.

Excellent review. One of my all-time favorite albums, but Devil is still better.

Review is awesome. I agree with what you said about Vices...When he says "Those days are dead (forgive me)" I took it as a literal comment directed at their approach of subtelty on the Devil and God. Once you realize that and just let the simplicity and pure rawness of this album sink in, you're set. I had this at a 3 only weeks ago.

first i had it at a 3.5. eventually i liked it more than Devil and 5'd it.
