"The Devil Wears Prada have always been a band with bad habits, habits they’ve had a particularly difficult time getting rid of."
Your first sentence proved you wrong; you don't know when to use a semicolon. I negged you because of your poor grammar. It was so bad that it distracted me from your writing.

Actually, you don't use a semicolon there, because "habits they've had a particularly difficult time getting rid of" is not a complete sentence.
"It was so bad that it distracted me from your writing"
That's a fucking load of shit, and you know it. You neg'd me because of the grudge you have against me for ridiculing your preference of Taylor Swift over Converge.

I would never grudge neg, I'm not a pussy. And regardless of whether that needs a semicolon or not, I'll admit that I didn't read it that closely, it's still pretty poor. It should probably be two different ones.

Yes i can read. It says it isn't that big of an improvement. I would beg to differ

nash, you accused me of saying that it wasn't an improvement at all. Which is not what I said. I said they went from bad to mediocre, which is in my opinion what they did.
and FromDaHood...shut up.

Dude, I'm just trying to help you out. And I'm explaining my neg like you requested.
|

Sheesh four reviews of this album knocked my Fair Warning album review quite a bit. Never heard of this band but it is a well written review. Good job

thanks dude

Not sure why this got neg'd so many times; I thought it was a pretty convincing review.
“Chicago,” which, coincidentally, is the best song on the album
I'm under the impression that it wasn't a coincidence at all... If you want a filler word to put there instead, you can put "incidentally," as putting "unsurprisingly" would be redundant.

thanks man, and yeah, i think that was the word i meant, actually lol

It was negged because his sentences are clunky. That's my opinion at least.

lmfao

FromDaHood, don't get me wrong---there definitely are parts that don't flow smoothly. But it's not nearly enough to justify a neg. Like not at all. Face it, you're rationalizing your neg with a bunch of weightless arguments. You don't nearly give enough evidence to justify a neg.

Do you disagree?
|

With the review or with your neg? With the neg, absolutely. With the review, I dislike metal and all its variants pretty much, so I have no opinion on that.

Lol the bias is hilarious.

All I know is that the site asked me if I thought it was written well and I don't happen to think so. I mean Jesus, there are 49 commas in this review.
|
| |
well fuck
|

@loveisamixtape, you gave their other releases a 4, 3.5, and 3. Did you ever consider that you're
reading this review with a bias? And that because you like this so much, you assume that he can't
legitimately think it's a 2.5 without having some sort of a bias?
Jesus Christ, fans like these are pathetic. And @FromDaHood, oh God, that's the justification you came
up with? Many sophisticated writers use commas a lot. I personally use a lot of commas to add flow to
my writing; that's just my style, and I think it works perfectly well.
