Malacca! And what the heck are you doing in the UK? LOL. Studying?
Also, judging by your (relatively low) post count, I'm guessing you're a new user?

Blaja kat mana bro? Gotcha on the not commenting bit...so you just come on here and look around, I take it? And no as far as I know there aren't any more Malaysians on this site. However, Kirgasm (Staff member) is actually half Malaysian, but he's effectively European now. So yeah - ada dua setengah orang kat sini ;)

blaja kat birmingham. tp dh nak abis dah. tahun depan blk. haha. yeah. look around for whatever that i think is interesting enough for my attention. i especially like the charts section, since thats the best place for me to discover new bands n music. so yeah. hence the low pos counts. lol. owh really. two and a half person isnt too bad i guess. lg bagus dr tak de langsung. lol.

Budak JPA/MARA ek? I was a Petronas scholar myself - spent four years in Canada (just came back last July, in fact). And yeah, it's really really great to see another Malaysian on here. For the longest time I thought I was the only one haha =)
Also, I'm guessing it was you who added Butterfingers to the database? LOL.

Okay, this being the internet and all it's hard to completely verify that you can speak Malay, BUT your archaic spelling (it's very cute btw haha :]) leads me to believe that you did stay in Malaysia at some point...what were you doing there?
Speak is spelt as "cakap" these days, and "sekit", the abbreviation of "sedikit", usually appears as "sikit". "Skit" is also acceptable. But wow wow wow - Melayu awak sangat bagus! =)

Irving you shared an excellent album. Tracks like "Swell Window" and "The Book of Morris Johnson" are
just spot on.
Please keep reviewing gems like these! ;)

Thanks to this site, I have been enlightened by Zee's music. And while I completely adore her first recording, this lush album has been on repeat for days now.
I wonder, though, how close is the Malaysian tongue to Filipino Tagalog?

That's great, Madapaka =) I have often found this site awesome for obtaining music recommendations, and it really gladdens me to hear that you are reaping the same benefits too =)
Malay and Tagalog (are you Filipino btw?) have some similarities in pronunciation and vocab, but the two languages are not mutually intelligible. For example, I know the Tagalog word for "four" sounds similar to the Malay "empat", and the Tagalog word for rock is "bato" (I think), whereas its Malay counterpart is "batu". There are many more similarities, but I'm not well-versed enough in Tagalog to keep reeling them off =)
Assuming you're Filipino, you might find the following clip to be of interest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqaCfJNdfuA
"Marabahaya" was originally written by a Malaysian band (Pop Shuvit), but the song was remixed with the collaboration of other South East Asian artists - including Slapshock of the Philippines - and I have to say the remix version is much better. Check it out =)

No, I'm not Filipino (though my wife is), but I am a curious individual. I know that Filipinos are largely Malay by ancestry, hence my pondering of the language connection.
I will check out your recommendations as soon as I can, but Zee is pretty much dominating the stereo in my household at the moment
