Nope, Im talking to whoever rated this album a 2. It's clearly not "poor" On sputnik the only albums that get 5s are Opeth albums. this album is greatness

I loved your review, but disagree with most if what is says
This isn't the most focused album, but I don't think it needs to be

Excellent, well thought out review. I'd like to pos this, but this being my first post (though I'm a long-time lurker) I'm not quite sure how to do that... anyone willing to tip me off? I would give this another couple listens, however. There's a lot of worth here. Also, the only thing I strongly disagreed with in your review is the presumption that consistency is some sort of a basic virtue in music. I'd say there's a difference between consistency in one's sound and cohesion, and this album may not be very consistent (I will certainly admit there are some erratic changes, some seemingly random), it feels extremely cohesive to me. There's almost a sort of spirituality to the whole thing that ties it together.
I don't find Kyo's lyrics pretentious at all. Rambling sometimes, perhaps, and certainly full of wild imagery, but I find the entire process of his delivery to be so vital and emotional that his choice of words makes a lot of sense. Also, the drumming on this album is absolutely stunning, definitely worth a mention. And the guitars as a whole got so much better; compare this to the work on Marrow of a Bone, and you can't say there hasn't been massive improvement. Overall, I was very impressed with how tight the instrumentals were. And as for a killer track, try Ruten No Tou, it's kind of what I consider to be a representation of the best of the album as a whole, which makes it an excellent closer.
Sorry this was so long... perhaps I should just write a review, huh?

At the very bottom of the review, there will be the option to pick yes or no for well-written.
Diabolos is fantastic, and this material translates great to their live show.

Awesome review! I definitely disagree, but it was really well written. This reads a more like a 2.5 to me, but it was awesome nonetheless.
I, on the other hand, really dig this. I definitely like Uroboros better, but this is a close second. The chorus to Ruten No Tou is one of the best things they've written

This is a good review, but this review was my first thought when I heard it. It's a grower. More layers than a onion to this beast.

With the problems going on in Japan it would be wise to see them when you can.

Last time they were in the states was 2011 I think. I remember going to see BTBAM one day that December and I remember reading the show dates at the venue and Diru played at the venue literally the night before and I had no idea about it, and this was when I was most obsessed with them. So much profound sadness /wrist
