Based on your ratings I'd definitely recommend this, but also grab Perfect Symmetry and Parallels so you can get a feel for their different styles. Those two are completely different from each other in terms of their complexity and accessibility but both are flooring in their own right.

@Volt: What Parallels said, but check Still Remains from this at the very least

Not sure how I feel about this one. It feels less cohesive than previous albums.

Give it time. It's a much more moody FW album, and takes time to digest the atmosphere

Agreed, in fact it's my favorite in the post-Parallels era. It's a dark, stark, complex and multi-layered prog metal masterwork with ten bricks of atmosphere and some of the most mature songwriting in FW's discography.

Matheos is a beast. Each of the epic tracks since Still Remains has been stellar. The light and shafe of things ffs

@teamster: Is it Nothing Left to Say? Beast track as well
@RLW: Most definitely. Ray's performance here is amazing (as it is on every album he's performed on). Love the dark moods Matheos experimented with here. Hoping the keyboards return soon, even though he said it's unlikely in the near future thanks to OSI
