I don't hold AJFA any higher than Rust in Peace. I actually hold it lower because I can't hear the bass, and the only songs that I'm into are One, Blackened, and Dyer's Eve. Everything else is decent to meh.

It's a considerably long solo section. But thankfully it doesn't drag because the solos are very enjoyable and the rhythm section behind the solos is also really great. Great solos are usually backed by an interesting/fun rhythmic section. I personally believe this is (sometimes) Metallica's biggest flaw.

That's the second best solo on the album.

This is just ahead of AJFA but I like Blackened and One better than anything off of this.

@KILL Everyone's entitled to their opinion, dude. I don't care if you or anyone else hates it, but you can't change it.

Everyone Else: I still LIKED Rust in Peace, just not as much as everyone else does. GFY if you have nothing constructive to say besides "I disagree" and write your own damn review. All this page needs is more 5 star reviews.

Hell yes, AJFA definitely opens with a bang.

The lack of bass on AJFA does kinda get to me though.

Even though this is a great album, I can see and fully understand why someone wouldn't like it nearly as much. To be honest, I'm surprised more people don't hold it in modest and lesser regards. The music is still great, but it doesn't have the "kick" of Peace Sells, for example and per se.

Good review overall, and it's nice to get a different, maturely handled verdict on an album compared to what the majority says.

"...his voice is bearable, especially compared to most death metal vocalists"

^ I really don't see how that's relevant, since Dave does thrash vocals. But it was a good review, and even if I don't agree with it, you backed up your opinion.

Thrash vocals, lol. My bad. I meant that he doesn't do death growls, so it's a weird comparison

Finally, I'm done cleaning up the review. I found a couple of small things I had to fix. And no, changing my review to total praise does not count as something to fix.
