Please feel free to do so, the album could certainly use some high ratings (even at a 4.0 average).

Bumped. Since someone kindly requested so. When I first rated this one I'm pretty sure I wasn't accustomed to this type of slow more ambient-ish post-rock. But damn man there's even Glitch in Djed so no way I would've noticed it 2-3 years ago.

It's very good, but it feels more like a collage of different bands/artists than a unique fusion. Listening to it is like "Here's where they go Neu! on our butts" and "oh yeah, here's the Steve Reich section." That's why I can't say it's top tier post rock, but it is very enjoyable.

@Friday I haven't listened to enough Steve Reich to say anything about him but all the Neu! section (or what I think you consider it) has in common with Neu! is the motorik beat, and there's so much more to it than just that. In my opinion Neu! invented the technique (well, that's not really true but let's not get into that now), but Tortoise breathed life into it. Of course your point of view is valid but a little too harsh imo.

Yeah maybe sounds harsher than I actually feel. I like the album a lot and the varied influences, just not on the level of Talk Talk or Slint that creates its own world for me.

This jammed hard. A few more listens and it could honestly bump to a 4.5
