Hating on shitty music is not trolling.
Saying the same thing over and over and over is, though.

Obviously not

haven't heard the whole album yet, but from what i've seen on youtube this guy puts on a good performance and has a seriously good set of pipes.
I'll have to hear the album, but for now this review seems a bit harsh. ESPECIALLY considering what else is currently popular.

Atavan: I definitely think he has talent, as I said in the last paragraph. I just think he's not using that talent to his full potential

Odd how the song you hate the most is the only one I find tolerable.
Album isn't bad, just over hyped and the singles are (extremely) over played.

This album makes for a mice mosaic when the CD is crushed up into bits.

Atavan: Just curious, what would you rate this?
WorldsTallestMidget: Is that the Lazy Song? Cause I actually liked the music for it, I just hate the lyrics.
Iluvatar: Is that me you think had no chance of liking this?

Just curious, what would you rate this?
In-between a 3 and a 4. Not sure, need to give it a few more listens.
Also I'm pretty sure most of the fuckwits ITT who've given this a 1 have probably only heard 90 seconds of one of the singles.

Yeah, that's true.
I don't deny the guy has talent, it just comes off a little derivative, but a good debut nonetheless.

He just performed a jazzy, big band version of Just The Way You Are on the MuchMusic Awards. It was so much better than the original version of the song

Seriously? Bashing an album solely on the basis that you don't like the lyrics? The music has originality and a very unique style. It is catchy, and it is very highly relate-able. Who hasn't wanted to follow the lead of the lazy song and just chill with no cares whatsoever for a day? Who hasn't been in (or felt like they were in) a one-way relationship like the one described in Grenade? It's music with high quality vocals, good beats, a steady sense of rhythm and it relates to the audience very strongly. Yeah, the songs are similar to each other and the lyrics are cliched at times. But still overall a very good album.
