This album is so...
Yeah I know
I don't always finish my sentences...
But when I do,

It's pretty well-written, just nothing that a bunch of people haven't said before.

Decent if unorthodox review. Oh, and not a 5.

most fucking polarizing review I've ever written I think
still needs work though

Don't we all though. you seem to have a handle on things better than i do.

again thanks lol
as you've probably read I'm fucking around with things a bit here, I'm going to try to rewrite this in just a bit after I finish an essay for something else

Yeah that makes sense, i try to change my style slightly with each review, nothing major so i don't completely screw myself over.
For example i only added the pros/cons section after an extensive conversation with Irving. He's a bit handy that bloke.

yeah but thing is my reviews weren't trying to push boundaries as much, my style needs a total facelift

my style needs a total facelift
there could have been a much more metal way of stating that lol.
I'm a bit paranoid about changing things too much, i don't like the negs see?
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
lol I'll take negs if the review deserves them, it's always helpful
but yeah, roll the dice a bit to stretch your boundaries a bit if you have to
you don't have to post everything that comes out of your head but it always helps to have someone read over it

Well you have followed my last few, i have actually cut down when talking about 'ínstrumentation' if i wanted to i could stretch that out to a point where i would probably get banned, thats where my review would turn into musical anaylsis. Describing the Texture, Dynamics, Tempo, etc, etc.

Not a terrible review, by any stretch, but it needs work.
You also have songs... Other tracks
Things like this really amplify the feeling of repetition, which stands out in such a short piece. A little work on structure can do wonders - jot down ideas before you start writing and move them around until they gel.
aggressive death metal progressions
What are these?
What’s here is like a tormented wood nymph, graceful through both the delicacy of its surroundings and the blackness of its essence.
Print the review, then take some scissors and cut this sentence out. Burn it, and never do anything like it again. But also, if you're going to start waxing lyrical, consider the flow of the language you use, because bits like this...
clean-sung... the album’s eerie, atmospheric aura
are ugly and awkward. Alliteration can be a great tool for any writer, but in cases like this it looks lazy, like everyday speech.
