Good review, album's a pisstake. You do a good job of highlighting the weaknesses of the album and the band, despite the 'melo death isn't what it used to be'-general-Sputnik-qq for every album in the vein of that genre. Good to see you refrain from excessive Alvestam cockriding, but the growls really aren't bad.

I'm listening on youtube, it doesn't sound as boring as the previous album. Holographic Universe and Symmetric in Design were both pretty cool though.

This review feels like it's judging the band unfairly:
'However, Scar Symmetry kicked Christian out of the band in 2008' (pretty sure his departure was mutual)
'The growler sounds like every monotonous low growler to enter the metal genre' (does the reviewer even listen to Metal with low growled vocals? (if he did he'd notice not all sound the same))
'so that way they can fool their fans time and again into thinking that they release something new and different just for some more money.'
And just the general ranty nature.
However, I do like the DT comparison at the beginning.

Hawks, listen to this fucking album. If you liked their first three, this album contains flavors from all of them throughout. Plus what was good from the last release. Sounds closest to Pitch Black Progress, though.
