I love this album

Hah I love how it only gets a 3.5 and is considered "Best New Music". Nevermind that sputnik is notorious for sweating this band.
Dear Science was awesome, but repetitive at times.

When will you guys realize that the best new music system is done just by staff ratings and mathematic averages, not the product of some sort of roundtable discussion?

youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I think there are some similarities in the way I feel about this and the King of Limbs. Both records expand upon the musical direction of their predecessor, and while they are missing the drastic musical reinvention and ambition of both band's previous work, they are still solid records.

That "newspaper Man" song off of Dear Science absolutely made my skin crawl. And it's keeping me from
listening to this.

This is groovy on first listen.
|

Repetition is the only cool song the rest is lazy drazzle dazzle booty,
disappointment.

The only people calling this album "boring" are the CHILDREN. This is an adult album made by adults for adults. If you aren't mature enough to appreciate solid songwriting, i feel sorry for you.
Dear Science is overrated.
They did experimentation on all of their previous records, and even this one is still a long-shot from "conventional"
There is nothing "missing"... the album is damn-near perfect. Listen again.

Yeah, I'm with rebel. This hasn't gotten stale one bit. All the songs are, at least, likable. They're still the most exciting and consistent band in indie in my eyes.
