I was like that in 2007 and 2008 with new albums but now fortunately I got much slower. Sometimes I also need time to focus on my favourite bands, some of them have so many wonderful albums. Many of them are very long active already too.

I have very much music too but still 518 GB (of 919 GB) free on my hard drive. I never want my PC too full, I'm always very careful about that.

"Sometimes I also need time to focus on my favourite bands"

This is something I am also trying to do as of late

3 of my favourite bands are extremely important to me. And Also The Trees for example. first album in 1984, newest in 2016 (and they never even split up in their career), and all 12 studio albums are wonderful and every one of them has its own beautiful atmosphere. Maybe one song I don't like from over 100, and it's a 45 seconds interlude.
I can't say that about other bands I love, most of them have a few songs I don't like.

For me, the closest band that comes to something like that is Depeche Mode. They're my favourite band.

Depeche Mode were one of my favourite bands back in 2000 when I listened mainly to 80's music. Still today I like some british new wave & synth pop music from the early 80's sometimes.

My favourite mainstream year is 1984, there were many great songs in the german top 20 in 1984. But I love the 80's in general, especially post-punk music (especially the era from 1978 to the mid 80's).
Since 2011 I absolutely love post-punk music (NOT punk rock, just to make that clear).
I don't want to discover much anymore but for that genre I will always make an exception.

I just recently started listened to 80s post-punk, but I am enjoying it so far. I really like bands like The Chameleons and Siouxsie and The Banshees. That span from 1978 to 1985 is full of excellent music, from all genres.

Don't know if I wrote it here but I made a list on sputnikmusic: my top 50 post-punk albums. Maybe I expand it even more soon, there are so many great albums and I am just too fascinated by that kind of music (ok I am fascinated by many genres to be honest).

You could take a look at it and discover some really good albums there. And The Chameleons indeed are great and they have 3 albums in my top 50.
