I used to like this better but I think I prefer the debut these days. But it's kinda hard to say because the albums are fairly different from each other. Both rule though.
Their latest album is good too, not as good as this or anything but still worth checking out if you haven't.

Yeah I was surprised at the difference between the two records, particularly with regards to the production. Forest appears a little more subdude & atmospheric.

After my initial excitement this is wearing off somewhat, it feels too comfortably familiar, like a Dissection that leans more towards the melo-death as opposed to BM, but maintains influences in both. That's fine of course except the song-writing is unoriginal, some of these riffs almost sound like they've been lifted from elsewhere.
tl;dr - I'd rather listen to Dissection/Sacramentum but this is a good time whilst it's on, just not particularly memorable after a few listens.

I haven’t heard the debut yet. Think I’ll jam it tonight.
Also check my dig Demon I think you’ll love it.

Indeed, it is, this opener is very melo, followed by the equally good Eye Of The Greyhound. I like the little raspy production, fit well the vox & the music ambience.
No weak tracks. Love it.

The ambient ending of Eye of the Greyhound is very similar to one of the interludes of Fas, Ite Maledicti in ignem Aeternum by Deathspell Omega. I think it's the one after Bread of Bitterness. Was very surprised to see that.
