If this is actually as good as you say then wow. Gonna look into this. Good review too.

Heard a bit of this, it sounded really good. I seriously doubt the people who gave this a 1 actually listened to it.

I thought "A Higher Place" was meh. Will check this out due to review.

I hate Born of Osiris but this was amazing...especially from a guy who dislikes tech death.

I hate when people say, "Oh, this sounds just like everything else in the genre. Nothing new." But that's kind of how I feel about this record upon first listen. I mean, I appreciate their attempt at ambience but I just can't get into it. Maybe I'll change my mind over time...

I used to know some of these guys, pretty cool dudes (our bands shared a manager for a brief moment in time)
haven't listened to them in years though, might check this out but there's so much other music I need to get to so idk

I recommend checking this album out, from start to finish, as soon as possible Veigh....it blew me out of the water how much "better" they got. I'm still in shock...

its pretty good, nothing mind-blowing

for some reason, from looking at the cover art and reading how people are describing this, I keep thinking it's just going to be a worse version of The Contortionist's last album
which was awesome

It kinda is to be honest. This is far more deathcore than Exoplanet though. Lot's of bree's, blast beats and off-kilter keyboards. It's still an enjoyable album to listen to at the gym though and it has enough uniqueness to distinguish itself from the rest of the deathcore/metalcore being pumped out these days.

better than contortionist

word, Apollo
idk, I loved Exoplanet and haven't really liked much from these guys (I mean, I dug their breakdowns back in 06/07 when I first heard them, and they were good live, but I'm just not crazy about that stuff anymore)
so we'll see
|
| |
just a standard deathcore album
