Britney Spears is probably a genius. Seriously, insinuating that she's stupid is retarded. She's clearly got mad marketing skills, among other things, I just think this album blows.

"Like when she almost convinced everyone that she was crazy"

Yes because that didn't get her tons of attention at all and people didn't go to her shows just because she was considered nuts.

People pay for that shit.

People pay for social pariahs.

Yes it got her attention, but not all of it was positive. Yes, people drive slowly past car crashes so they can look for longer, but there still would've been people who turned away from her at that point

Yes that's why she "came back."

Music Marketing is not that hard to understand. You fuck up after you slow down musically to get attention and then you resurface to reap it all.

Yes, and what I'm saying is that not everyone bothered to watch her come back....

I'm also not talking about her fucking up musically. And i'm aware of how music marketing works. But like I mentioned earlier, there doesn't seem to be any long term game plan for Britney, it's like everything that she does lately is a result of her trying to make amends in the public eye. "Shit I'm a social pariah now, let's try and be relevant this way.....no that didn't work. How about this way?"

You could say that she's a musical chameleon, but to me it just sounds like someone running out of ideas/trying to be relevant

Her long term goal is to make money and it's working rather well.
