lolz
no fucking way.
Mets fans may be more masochistic. But Yankee fans are most certainly worse.
....unless the Mets fan is boasting about the Mets actually getting anywhere.
then they're just stupid.

Nice review, I agree with a lot here, some of the choruses are so catchy though, which is strange for Lupe. The GOAT has turned into one of the sheep, but all that means is that he is a GOAT in sheep's clothing. Solid album with a few duds.

Definitely it should go gold, hope that ridiculous backlash doesn't stop it from doing so. If he releases Out of My Head as a single though, that would just be so horrible, I can't even imagine...

Why

Thinking about DLing this.
Have a feeling it'll end up like that BoB album from last year, though. I'll listen to it on and off for about a month then delete it from my iPod and completely forget about it. :/

John Legend's song is cool, the rest not so much.

I enjoyed the record, but it's very disappointing at the same time. This isn't Lupe.

The FIASCO plastered in the headlines, eh? I haven't listened to this yet but I have NO IDEEEEEEEAAAAAAAA what you're talking about when you say crappy beatwork on Food & Liquor.

Anyhow, despite the backlash, his fans are pretty loyal and a good number of them will buy his album just to 'support him' because they're stupid and don't realize the money's going to Atlantic, the label they hate. Morons.
That's what I did. I buy the album. Atlantic (which I absolutely do hate, though least of all because of Lupe) gets the money. The better the album sells, the more singles get released, the more plays it gets on the radio, and the more royalties Lupe himself gets. He also gets royalties for every album sold with songs written by him (as all of these are). So while Atlantic and the employees therein probably get the majority of the money, Lupe still gets supported when people pay for his albums (it took all of five minutes to look that information up).
Also, I haven't done research on this, but I think Lupe's done with his contract, and people haven't been exactly quiet when it comes to telling him how much they like/dislike his album.

@Bulldog
What, the whole Kick, Push gag? Too obvious man, too obvious.

Wow, now all i need is chamillionaire to release a new album and bam! i have my favorite living rappers new works. this is a pretty good album and its going right next to recovery (not as good as ems old stuff), BP 3 (Worst blueprint ever), MOTM 2( not as good as 1). Love beautiful lasers but i feel kind of ripped off. Some songs r good but others just suck. State run radio is horrible. Still like it tho, just not as much as food & liquor or the cool. That is if chamillionire ever releases another album ;)

This album is horrible compared to his first two. If you disagree with the previous statement, I suggest cleaning your ears out. Lupe's writing isn't gonna carry shitty pop-rap beats and every chorus having some idiot singing for 60 seconds. A lot of tracks on this album I honestly can't even listen to without feeling like I wanna vomit.
As said in a previous comment, "This isn't Lupe."

i honestly hate this album

"Lasers is a pretty good album just as undeserving of its largely negative reaction as The Cool and Food & Liquor were of their overwhelmingly positive acclaim." I totally agree! This honestly feels like a 3.5 at the least. Every album he's done is different and great, and this one doesn't stop that trend. However much of it is him, and however much is Atlantic Records, I enjoy it for what it is.
