What's up with the classic rating? Where are the times that an album was only rated 'a classic' 20 years after it came out and only if it was still relevant?

A 5 puts this on the level of Kid A, and that is NOOOOooooooooooooooooooot the case.

I beg to differ, I have a lot of 5 ratings but that doesn't mean that I think they are all equally as
good, it simply means that I think that they are so amazing/flawless that anything less than a 5 would
not be doing the album justice. That said, this is definitely not a 5.

Indeed. Looking back on this, I really liked the album at that time. I go through phases with this album, mediocre to great to mediocre to poor to etc. etc. Definitely not as good as Kid A, OK Computer or The Bends in my opinion, and I personally like both Hail to the Thief and Amnesicac more than this although I would not say either is a 'better record.' What I expressed in this review was a point of view, that this album seems to be more Radiohead doing something for Radiohead versus Radiohead doing something for us. And if you listen to the album with that in mind, I think you might be surprised.

That is a good point; I guess I'm saying that rating this a 5 puts it in the same ball park as Kid A, which is something I just can't wrap my head around lol

sorry guys, someone had to go and write the impulsive and ridiculous Five Star review. and yeah, I guess you couldn't call them 'phases' but I changed my mind on this album at least six times.
let's just hope i end up like the one guy who called Laughing Stock genius the first day it came out

3/4 of reviewers didn't listen to the King of Limb all the way through more than once before reviewing. It's time for Sputnik to crack down. I'm not being biased, crack down on Converge and Brand New reviews while you're at it.

Really good intro, but then you kinda pooped out towards the end there.

I really like this review and I get what it's saying.
I still believe that if this album had been released by some band we'd never heard of then everyone would be going on about how amazing it is but, because it's Radiohead, everyone's reacitng to it like it's an epic fail.
