I proved you right by insulting your writing?
You're out of your fucking mind.

.......maybe, but at least i can understand a basic sentence.
You said writing about an album only in one paragraph doesnt count
i said it does
you said a sentence
i thought that the sentence you said about my review described the album
i said
Well, you just described the whole album in one sentence.
So congrats, you have proved me right.
which means that you CAN summarize an album is less than a paragraph
SOMEONES A WINNER

There is a difference between egotistical and critical.

I proved you right, because you still agree with yourself?
You realize that being right has to have some logical foundation, don't you? That to express an opinion on a 37 minute-long collection of music made by a band with a deep, complicated history and a massive fanbase, you're going to have to discuss much more than you could ever fit in a paragraph?
And if not, have you ever heard of the "sound off" feature? Because that's where terrible one-paragraph reviews go.

Have you ever heard of the "Fuck off" feature? Its where douchebag, asshole trolls go.

I'm not commenting on the review but this right here:
That to express an opinion on a 37 minute-long collection of music made by a band with a deep, complicated history and a massive fanbase, you're going to have to discuss much more than you could ever fit in a paragraph?
the band's history and/or fanbase doesn't even matter when saying how good or bad the album in question is. All that information is merely contextual and isn't required.

Well, I don't think this is a bad review. It's a bit undercooked is all.
That said, I would love to see a negative review for the record that doesn't insinuate that listeners like it because it's Radiohead and instead focuses on what the reviewer perceives to be bad or underwhelming about the album.

I'll work on a better one on my next review, maybe tommorow

I would argue it gives the review significantly more weight, requiring a negative review to justify
itself more than one of a band noone liked.

So an album with a bigger fanbase deserves a better review than one with none?
....nice.
|

A negative review of a popular band needs extra defense.
A positive review of a hated band needs extra defense.
The audience you're writing to is fundamental to the nature of the piece you're writing.

this band has a deep, complicated history and a massive fanbase

shut the fuck up
stop calling it a 'piece'
its a review
its highly personal and reactionary and thats all that should matter, apart from it being well-written
|
| |
Well fuck, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it but I don't see why our standards can't be higher.
Also, it's a piece of writing. I don't give a shit, that's what it is. A piece.

I hope this doesn't come off as shitty because it isn't meant to and I currently have no feelings toward this album one way or the other.
"and decided to make an album trying to be the biggest douche bag hipster assholes."
"and stupid synth."
"They basically just listened to Kid A"
Of the negative reviews of this album This one is the best I've read so far but the above lines really make it sound more like vengeance than a negative review and take away from your hard work IMO.
"Radiohead is a great band, and some greatness can be found on the album, but pick up In Rainbows instead."
I really think this could have been a great line if you had finished it with a nice well rounded counter point instead of "pick up there old stuff".
I'm not going to neg in hopes that you rework this a little but for me it isn't a pos as it stands.
