I've not set foot in glorious Kurast for many years!

Even worse was when the little people stacked on each others shoulders and breathed flames and resurrected each other. I used one of those Act III ice mercenaries to shatter them.

It was okay as a sorceress or barbarian so you could skip those little log bridges. Act V kicked ass too. Tempted to play again now.

guys act ii is the boring one what are you on about. act iii is awesome, even if the first time i played i got lost and it took me like weeks to get through it.

Haha yeah I started playing Diablo 2 again because of this. Unfortunately I suffer from the altaholic syndrome which means I usually make a new char whenever I finish normal with another one... Oh well, thanks!

I used to play this game heavily back before the expansion came out and for about a year or so after the expansion came out.

In normal D2 I had a level 40 or so necromancer (I remember it got pretty hard to level after about level 35 without the expansion) and I had a bunch of items that I thought were awesome at the time but when the expansion came along were pretty sucky. (One was Ume's Lament Grim Wand, one was Sigon's Shield, a bunch of crap that added +1 to all skills) My bone spear did a few hundred damage which was pretty awesome back then.

Once the expansion came out I made a sorceress, which over the course of a couple weeks I got to level 89 or so. Once I got to that level I spent a few weeks or so trying to get the best gear, and mostly succeeded, but then I took a break from the game. I made a few other characters but none super successful, and then they made a patch where a lot of new, better gear was available. I didn't even bother trying to get any of it.

Last time I was on was a couple years ago and it was just getting out of hand. There were charms that if you just had them in your inventory you would get +2 to all skills type effects.

It was a good game, though. I was into it for a long time. I probably played a couple thousand hours of both D2 and Starcraft. It was insane. I'd honestly spend all summer playing from 11Am - 3AM back when I was like 13.

I know it's pretty addicting! And every 6-12 months theres a ladder reset (your pvp char gets made non-pvp so you need to make a new one) so that keeps it interesting for quite a while. I'm glad you liked it Xeno, it took me two weeks to conjure this up and I wasn't really satisfied but I just wanted to get it over with.

I saw a boss fight trailer on Youtube the other day....looked alright.

I dunno if I'll get it though. I'd love to see how much time I spent playing D2 when I was a kid. It would probably be sickening. If I'd spent that time knitting or something I'd make some pretty badass jumpers.
