I honestly don't understand why people like Undoing Ruin more than Deliver Us. Deliver Us had much better guitar playing, and much better vocals. I love Undoing Ruin but I don't think it touches Deliver Us.

Well, not everyone thinks that way. I know it is me and a few other dudes.

undoing ruin was pretty average imo.

oh my gah
Wow
not only is the cover a rip off, it's ten times blander than FOB.

I still swear the album cover is a troll optical illusion meant to look like forever alone guy.

Eh it's not like any of the bands actually created that image, it's an actual photo of some skeletons that were found, which got some what famous because of their position. As for using the same one, they probably didn't know. I mean I've never looked at a Fall Out Boy album in my life... and I've never even heard of Tesla. So maybe they don't pay much attention to all the shit music that is floating around.. Who cares!

I pretty much enjoyed this CD entirely although their tone has changed a lot since Deliver Us. Some things kinda remind me of Undoing Ruin as well but really don't mind, like pretty much every CD except The Misanthrophe

Would have listened to this already if the new PTH and Defeater records hadn't leaked.
|

Is it just me, or does the album cover rip off the cover of Fall Out Boy's "Believers Never Die" cover?

Kris Norris is an excellent guitarist. That being said, his absence does not relegate this band to average status.

Yeah, Norris was awesome but it's not like he was a god-send to melodic death metal or whatever. The dude just had a knack for picking out the right kick-ass melodies to use at the right time, and Eternal Return bored me because that melodicism just wasn't there to me. Tbh I think the melodic ideas here kick just as much ass as Norris did on Deliver Us.

haven't heard the whole album yet but i agree about the band not being as good as when kris norris was in it. The new guy is not bad but kris norris's solos and leads were finger-lickin good

Whenever I glance at a thumbnail of this cover, it always looks like trollface.jpg with some grey added in.
