I saw these guys live and they play up the romantic tension that you hear in the music. They were wonderful

This is incredible. Title track is just too fun and obviously Poson & Wine rules. I fancy Birds of a Feather the most though.

This album is a total sham. The title track owns hard. One of the best songs of the year, easily. The rest makes Michael Bolton sound like thrash.

I don't get it. I thought it was really bland.
Standard singer songwriter stuff with pretty meh lyrics. =/
'Barton Hollow' is the only song I really digged. It was really interesting. =)

One of the best albuns I ever heard, their voices are just perfect. You can feel the songs, the lyrics are amazing, Joy and John Paul teach you what good music is.

For now I'll give this a 4 but on first or so listen I thought it was pretty forgettable and quite boring. I think the new album actually made me appreciate Barton Hollow a lot more. It certainly has a unique charm about it and they have chemistry that is extremely rare. This album is a great counterpart to the new one and vice versa. It just feels to me like this is part one and the new one is part two completing a story in a way. They both share similarities yet are quite different in some ways. Barton's mood is a lot lighter, even though they're a very melancholy duo.

But yeah, there's something I really like about this album when I'm in the mood.
