DragonForce has inspired some good lulz over the years. I remember once, we got the whole male changeroom singing Through the Fire and Flames. Half-naked late adolescent males all punching out falsettos with ridiculous lyrics and over-theatrics ensued.



In all honesty, I don't think Dragonforce is AS BAD as everyone said. Sure, they're a pile of steaming horseshit at times, they're pretentious, plastic and just mindless shredding. But hey, they're still undeniably fun at times, whether you're in the mood for some over the top wankery or just chilling with some mates. And yes, as embarassing as it may seem, Inhuman Rampage (along with As Daylight Dies) actually got me into metal.

Yeah, at one point while writing this, I though the exact same thing, and that perhaps I was being unfair. But then I realized thy when they aren't shredding, DT can actually pull it back and write awesome melodies, with shifting time signatures and everything. Whereas the songwriting present on a DragonForce album is something akin to this: rijwigiwhwifiwjqjfkwjxjfjcwjscjrhdrjejfiejcjejcjjwhwicjrhxjwjfjtjfkeoqpqpfjzjsjaijckrkdk!!!!

Like 2 and a half songs I enjoy listening to, then everything else just drags, same with Inhuman.

it's funny how these dudes named the album Ultra Beatdown cuz they are a bunch of pretentious nerds who would get their asses beat by a freakin 2 yr old. they are like those douches that could sit there and argue about WoW all day (which is pretty much what their music is). also playing shit really fast doesn't make you a good guitarist, it makes u look like an idiot that is too scared to slow down for the fact that people would find that u actually suck at anything else. plus who in their right mind would let that dude sing for the band, let alone write the lyrics?
