I'm always posting random shit in unrelated threads but I'd sincerely like to use this space to tell people to watch out for the Brooklyn band Gustaf. Their album surely won't be as good as their raucous live performances but they have no music on spotify or bandcamp and they're releasing their first album early this year and it's gonna be lit. Definitely no wave-y. Also ESG-y. who knows. idk. genres. influences

this band toured like 40-45 shows in NYC alone per year for like four years before releasing a single song. who knows what Indie means but like, they're very uhhh DIY. not marketers

hey yeah no worries. I blow all my money 10 dollars at a time on indie concerts, might as well get in one or two recs for bands nobody knows. i've seen gustaf live like 7 or 8 times and it's so good every time
btw sandwich palberta been posting studio clips on that instagram story, i was wrong that the album is coming out january but it's coming out soon

the song at 9:40 rips. gives a good sense of how much the frontwoman lydia improvises too. it's usually four ladies and a dude (wow) and they relegate the dude to like poking at the guitar every ten seconds pretty funny #feminism
