i have nothing against simple music, as there is much simpler than this that i like. but nothing about the music grabs me, its still good and all, but nothing more than 'hey thats pretty cool'.

have you only heard it once or twice, maybe?

once just before, gave it a close listen though. dont give the 'grower' crap though, this isnt inaccessible music.

'straightforward' music can still grow on you?

Yeah the songs need more obscure chords and time changes and shit. Nothing worse than cool melodies and amazing lyrics.

i just mean that its easier to get an idea of the album together after first listen. if you havent realised, 3.5 is still a good rating.
of course most things you like will grow on you, but i mean when people say 'ah you dont like it? well its a grower...' as if you dont understand it.

loving this band is easy
you hear an album
it's good
one day a lyric sticks
you listen to the album again
you cant stop singing pretty much every song from it
you realise the lyrics are perfect
you learn the awesome melodies
