oh wow, I haven't listened to or thought about this band since this came out, so thanks for bumping this! If memory serves it's much better than a 2.0

The only weak track here for me is Calignosity. The rest is Cascadian, forest worshipping, romantic black metal goodness

Honestly think they nail it on the head better than a lot of the Agalloch worshipping clones that try this style

I think the negative criticism I've read on Sput always turned me off checking this out. Seeing those 4.0's now and jamming quite a lot of wittr lately makes this go on my listen-to list

Do it man, you'll dig it. It's like WITTR mixed with Falls of Rauros, but with a slightly more lofi natural sound. Very atmospheric, dynamic, and at times beautiful.

Yeah I liked it, some of the leads had a strong post-rocky feel + clean vox more present than most other cascadian bm I can think of. I dug the performances with small "mistakes" (i.e off tempo drumming or off pitch singing) permeating through it def added to the honest feel of the music. Compositions had a nice flow too. Overall really strong stuff!

It's a shame they didn't level the volume on the interludes with the other tracks it would have made for a more homogenous listening

the first 20 mins of Anarchic is immense, too. Some of the best post-bm before they somehow changed studios or ran out of money to make the rest of the album sound as good.

@lalchimiste lol, yeah they could use a boost in volume definitely agreed. The end of Blossoms Will Sprout From the Carcass around 8:20 is probably my favorite bit on the album. It's parts like that were I'm like man, I wish I wrote that.

@zaruyache I was just thinking about how I never heard anything else after this and should check out their latest effort, but that sounds like quite the issue indeed about the studio budget.
