I remember discovering this album somewhere around september 2012. I remember how Drowning in the Flood would become that one song you dont necessairly like but you keep koming back to it for some reason as, unexpectedly, it slowly becomes music of your life.
Here I am, five and a half years later, still saying Aquarius is an underrated album. I know most of the lyrics, been bashing for days streams, mentioned earlier drowning, eternal rain... Well, every song actually.
If somebody was to browse my rates on this site most of them would be 4s and 5s. I come here to appreciate good music of my choice. And that's why I'm here, under one of the albums that truly got me, pretty young kid at the time, into a magical land of progmetal. I might not be the biggest fan of new Haken, but I've got an Aquarius in my heart.
It's not too late to suffocate, the price I will pay for what I've done.

Eh I’d say their next two records easily beat this

Naw, The Mountain is great, but this is dangerously close to being their best. So many big/ memorable moments.

I think the following albums are similar but a bit more focused. So yeah matter of taste i guess.

I really enjoy the track "Visions" but I've listened to the album twice now and still don't have things playing over and over in my head.
With this bad boy I was instantly hooked.

Not even Nocturnal Conspiracy?

Again, in the moment I'm always like "Yes! This is so good!" I just don't have the ear worm that I did with Aquarius. Still a great album.

I'm just mentioning it because Nocturnal Conspiracy got stuck in my head for like a month

This and Visions are very similar in style. It's like they're very intricate, but not that effective and functional in their songwriting. Interesting, I'll keep listening

This is where they still had to refine their songwriting, it's a damn good debut though. Visions has the better compositions and is excellent through and through

This band gets a little bit worse with each new album. This one still fucking brings it

I love the Kansas feel in the opening of Streams. Also, that beautiful jazz fusion keyobard part that opens Eternal Rain

There are days when I think is one of their best and Visions is their opus magnum and there are days when I think the same about Affinity and Vector. Weird band, love them

Clearly great debut by a talented band. The concept works a little bit better than the one on Visions. But just like Visions this one is a little bit too samey for its runtime imo
