I was listening to this with my brother the other day and he noticed something interesting. Refused were right, this really WAS the shape of punk to come. I mean they were years ahead of the hardcore scene and it seems that bands are just now starting to catch up with this masterpiece.
It's hard to believe this is from almost 8 years ago now. Refused were ahead of their time and their albums havn't gotten the least bit boring yet.

i love the refused... bought the album a little while ago and they got me into acts like Alexisonfire. t certainly sucks that they broke up, but what they left behind will hold me till i find another band who can match their talentThis Message Edited On 01.24.06

I think this record is great - obviously, i mean its pretty bloody seminal aint it? My fave tracks are Liberation Frequency, New Noise, summerholidays vs. punkroutine and Refused Are Fuckin Dead.

GREATES BAND FOR A LONG WHILE! just needed to let that out. I was gonna review this but u guys have it covered. I woudl say that refused and bad brains are my kings of hardcore music. I love all songs but i really like the title track and the deadly rhythm. Anyone heard the rumors bout possible end of 2006 reunions?

Very overrated, but still good. I hate Dennis Lyxzén with a passion though, all his other bands suck äss. The lyrics and vocals of this album are pretty weak.

Is it commiting blasphemy to not quite buy into this album and proclaim it the greatest thing to happen to the genre in like...ever? Because while I think this was sweet in its own way and of course very original....there was nothing on here that made me sit up with my mouth open.
Bands that score 4.5 or 5? They do that. Refused didn't quite make it.
