interesting band...not sure what to think yet. the vocals are great sometimes but also kind of grating. and i agree about the needing more junz part.

a pretty unique style in my opinion, but it doesn't really impress me that much, upon first listen

well, i checked a few songs out just because i was bored. sounds very ordinary and meh.

needs something inbetween all that high pitched riffing and vocals. became repetitive.

yeah, i don't know if i'm really feeling dan tompkins' voice. he's definitely competent but it reminds me too much of the dude from bfmv. his voice definitely sounds less out of place here than in tesseract's stuff though. guitar is good doe

Good review. This album is okay..vocals usually sound great but sometimes it doesn't feel like they flow really well, plus his screams/shouts need a lot of work, I found them obnoxious. Instrumentals are good though, this band could be something to look out for in a few years.

Album is plagued by overproduction and a very commercial sound. That said, it's actually
pretty solid. More than adequate vocals and some great guitar work. Now for the
drums...some atrocious production here. Bass drum sounds like a tin can, can be very distracting. Anyway,
not a bad pop-tinged post- hardcore release. Oh, and did I mention it has the worst cover art
this side of Hot Topic. If you like Funeral for a Friend etc. definitely pick this up.

First of all can people stop saying it needs more screaming? The reason I like this band is BECAUSE
there isn't so much of that generic growling/screaming crap like with copycat bands like black veil
brides and bless the fall (two bands I hate with a passion BECAUSE they are GENERIC and might as
well be the same band!).

I also disagree with people who say this band sounds like bullet for my valentine or funeral for a
friend. This band is more dynamic than either band, more progressive than either band. About as
melodic as bullet for my valentine, but more interesting in my opinion. Not trying to sound like
metallica or whatever.

It is sad that copycat bands get all the media coverage and amazing, musicially proficient
emotionally vibrant bands like this barely have an audience. But I think part of it is that 'needs
more screams duuude' mentality. If you want copycat music listen to any number of GENERIC screamo
bands (yes they ARE generic) and leave this band alone! They are not for you.

Just if any didn't knows, Dan left this band quite a while ago to focus on Tesseract full time. They are searching for a new vocalist, but I think it's been a while...

Who knows what the future of this band will be. I love this album.

In the mean time, check out Tesseract. They are also phenomenal.

Dan leaves awesome band FSoF to join average band Tesseract. Dan leaves Tesseract to... do nothing. God dammit Dan.
