I would REALLY like to see Atavan's take on this - especially if he's doing a positive review.
That said, fantastic review Xeno. It was a really good read, especially for the first five paragraphs. It was an extremely solid piece of background information + your opinion + context. However I have to say that in the last three paragraphs, you start to falter a bit - the end of the review is a bit on the repetitive side, and the sense is that you're struggling to put it all together. There's some great ideas and lines in the final paragraph, but they get a bit lost in the uncertainty of the writing.
This is still the best review of Killjoys I've read so far though, and that's worth two pos votes IMHO.

LOL I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. The pun was staring at me in the face. I think my housemate's mannerisms are rubbing off on me - the guy's one helluva punmaster.
For example, he once went to a job interview with the Forestry Department or something (a government bureau that has to do with trees, basically); when asked by the HR head on what he knew about the Department's reputation, he replied that he heard that they had a reputation for being "a little wooden".
And as if that weren't enough, he capped off the whole show by saying "I'm stumped" when he didn't know the answer to one of their final questions.
He didn't get the job.
