yeah Air for Free has some VERY nice highlights, despite not being nearly as consistent overall
might binge through their discog, I'm overdue for that I think

I've determined I hate the turn of phrase "wonderful lips" a lot, otherwise I'm really digging Flower.
Go give this album a proper rating Atari!

I'll def get around to it soon! this is why I'm never getting a ratings wipe again... much easier to just update when/if needed

Oh I was wondering what happened to your ratings. Maybe I should do a ratings wipe, the majority of mine are from a decade ago and I am a very different person now

that's basically what I always tell myself but then my rating chart always looks exactly the same, lol

I couldn't disagree more with my original review of this. When I have some time I'll try to rewrite it.

I'd love for that, gave this a full listen and in context I like the poppy numbers more. My only real issue is with the intro/outros and really, only the ones around Savannah bother me in terms of album pacing. I *think* they're trying to do something narratively, like "Baby (Outro)" being a distorted echo of the positive, romanticized relationship retrospective that is "Savannah"
Also I entirely forgot "Over It" existed -- might be my least favorite of the album.
"that's basically what I always tell myself but then my rating chart always looks exactly the same, lol"
lol yeah okay that's fair. But I definitely think a lot of the stuff I tried to convince myself to like when I was active on Sputnik to fit in (lol) would get smited

I’ve got a friend whose only song in his iTunes library is (If You Want It) and every time he connects his phone to the bluetooth in his car it always defaults to playing that song. Didn’t expect to see this album so highly rated cos in my mind it’s always a meme lol
