vocals reminiscent of Coheed and Cambria's distinctive singer, Claudio Sanchez, as well as Anthony Green from Circa Survive. The guitar parts remind of Thomas Erak's from the Fall of Troy, in terms of their technical nature, and when "Dreamhouse" showcases its musicianship through more complex time signatures, bands like This Town Needs Guns come to mind.
i definitely don't though, is the thing.

Well, you obviously don't have to- however, if you're interested in those bands, then this may be something you would enjoy

So they just played an instrumental set, and it sounded very post-rock. Lacking a singer probably contributed to that. I like the sound.

Wow, I'm loving their style in this link. Losing their singer seems to be what needed to happen for them to tap into this awesome side

Holy shit! They sound a fuckton better without a vocalist. I really hope they don't screw over this new sound with some half-par vocalist that'll detract from all their promise. They still need to work on some of their music (not the most original post-rock), but it's really good so far, and I feel like they have a lot of promise.

Absolutely. This album's songwriting was a lot more sloppy, but without a vocalist it seems like they've finally found a formula that works astoundingly well for them. I don't often anticipate the future work of a group as much as I am with these guys

Ruh roh, Sputnik post-rock circlejerk time. Their music does sound better, but their previous vocalist was ASTOUNDING and I believe they'd do well in finding a style that fits.
