MAN you guys are old!

The first musician I remember dying was Kurt, and while I was a little sad, as a Nirvana fan even then, I was really too young to dwell on it. I was nine.

I feel so young right now...I thought I was one of the oldest people on this website...

Old age it's in the head. The average age of sputnikers is pretty young, it's undeniable.

I really should listen to this more. I can never see myself giving this a 5 (I much prefer BiB, but Bon Is my favourite ACDC singer go figure :S) I adore the first 4 or so songs on this but I just can't sit through the whole thing as easily as Back in Black.

WhiteNoise. There is SO much wrong with your first post, I won't even begin to detail what. BiB is the most overrated piece of mediocre lazy-ass music making ever. This is a career-defining album. No comparison.

You really have a strong opinion on AC/DC, don't you Pedro? BiB is the only excellent Johnson album.

I find it hard to listen to a Brian Johnson song after listening to a few Bon Scott songs, know what i mean?

So was I.

And yes, Nag. I admit they're far from perfect, but I love them anyway. And I can't STAND the worship for BiB (or FTATR for that matter).

If this one has three fillers (which I detailed above), BiB has: What Do You Do For Money Honey, Given The Dog A Bone, Shake a Leg (awful), Let Me Put My Love Into You, and Have a Drink On Me (as much as I like it, come on, it's far from a classic). One could even arguably include Rock'n'Roll Ain't Noise Pollution on this list, even if it is a fan-favorite.

So yeah, while the remaining five songs are all classic and above-par, would you really rate an album with 60% filler 5/5? If you rate Nevermind as a 3 "just cuz", then don't rate this one a 5. Quit being hypocrites and just admit: BiB may be historically important, but it painfully average.

Wow, easy!

On the "I love BiB"-subject, I agree with WhiteNoise - Back in Black is probably my favorite album. But I also love Highway to Hell. Just because a guy doesn't have quite the same opinion as you, you don't have to jump him right away. Geez...

Sorry, fanboy in me coming out.

I respect opinions, but one has to be objective. I see a lot of subjectivity towards this and Nevermind, pulling in opposite directions, so I was just contributing an objective analysis.

Sometimes it sounds like you expect nearly every song on an AC/DC album to be a classic though.

Nah. But this ensemble is stronger than BiB's.

Although I can see your point, I don't agree - well, I do on the "Nevermind"-album matter, but not BiB ;)

Back in Black is just classic Rock n' Roll - legendary!

OK man, THAT is too far! hahaha. Noise Pollution and Givin' the dog a bone are fantastic.

Given The Dog a Bone is the second weakest track after Shake a Leg.

R'n'RANP is great - I love it! - but by no means a classic. As I stated, it's a fan favorite!

We still have about 50% worth of filler, which makes the rating for this album a 3.0 AT BEST.

A 5.0 can have at most one filler song (see: Ktulu on Ride the Lightning, She's Got Balls on High Voltage, Coming Clean on Dookie, Endless Nameless on Nevermind, To Tame A Land on Piece Of Mind, Aphrodisiac Jacket on Electric, The Sun Is Burning on Wednesday Morning 3AM) or ideally none.

Wut, Ktulu is one of the best moments on RtL and To Tame a Land is a classic Maiden epic. The weakest track on Piece of Mind is very easily Quest for Fire, perhaps even the worst Maiden song ever.
