So I'm listening to this right now and have to say it's really fucking good. Looking like a 3.5-4 but most likely a 4 after more listens.

I'm with silent, although I also put Versions before Opposite. Hell, every one of their albums except this one pushed metal core/post hardcore/whatever to new ground.

Still my favourite PTW album, definitely. That could be nostalgia speaking but this thing rocks from front to back. Love every moment of it. The thing I like most about listening to any PTW though is the fact that once I get into one album, it makes me want to listen to almost every other one. PTW reunion!

I did know of this, yes. Very exciting!

So much better than fucking Opposite of December
I mean God forbid they improve the production value, start writing decent riffs and actually experiment outside a breakdown-centric formula

Yea, I can agree with this. I respect Opposite of december for what it did for the genre (in some respects) but this one just stuck with me and didn't stop from day 1.

This album is a grower. Whilst it is my least favourite out of all their releases it is still miles better than most metalcore ever was.
Since reuniting is there any news on what the band are currently doing?

They did some shows in the US this year and a couple of festival slots I believe. I hope they release another record and tour Europe!

Never understood the love for their stuff after this album. It's not bad, but the EP, TOOD, and this completely shit all over stuff after it. Forgot how good this was

ran through the discog again and this is really starting to grow on me. such a cool stylistic bridge between the breakdown centric writing of ood and the melodic stuff on ycby
