Thanks Irvin...I'm trying to get better. I just had so much to say about it. I like reading reviews...and I like writing them. So, if someone is still not convinced about checking out Weezer, they can look at my slop and know that I'm a Weezer Fan...legitimately (as in, I like the stuff you don't) and I can tell them honestly that this is NOT LIKE THE RECENT STUFF.

I'll work on it.

I do personally think this is their better work. It is better than Maladroit and everything after it. Buy Blue Deluxe, the new Pinkerton Deluxe and this album...then download the songs Perfect Situation, Heart Songs and This is Such a Pity and you're set with Weezer. Hahahahaha!

It's not a NEW ALBUM.......I don't think..... It's just a compilation of stuff they didn't put in old albums because I guess they figured we wouldn't like them...guess what? It's 2010 and the band has dug themselves so deep in their own poop that a few weird and creative songs that aren't 'out there' are a good thing.

Rivers considers this a proper album and the follow-up to Hurley, he's said it himself in interviews.

Yeah this is really, really fuckin' good. Lyrics are almost laughably bad on most of the songs, but the music is too good to write it off because of it. There really isn't a weak track on here.

This album kinda.... sucks. Nothing stands out to me. I clicked with Blue, Pink, and even Green! But this has nothing to latch onto. I'll re-listen and finalize a rating.

Don't understand this hype. Every Song seams so uncomplete and half baked.

We probably like it so much because on most of these tracks Rivers actually sounds alive and like he gives a shit and produces incredibly melodic songs, which was what made us all fall in love with the band in the first place. Album certainly isn't perfect, but songs like "Everyone" and "Trampoline" are irresistibly catchy, moreso than several of the last few studio albums from the band.

Fuck no. Weezer has at least two legitimately good/great songs on even their bad albums. If you cropped Weezer's last decade into one album of 12-13 songs it would be fucking great hands down. Not to mention you're leaving out like three albums worth of AMAZING b-sides too, and that's only what's been released. He's the white geek Prince, he's got like albums and albums of crap in a vault. Successful CuomoTroll is successful.

This album is awesome though, better than anything since the first two which still isn't that much of a stretch, despite Weezer's lukewarm "comeback" that's starting with Hurley and continuing with DTFM. But the hype is bullshit. To compare this to Pinkerton or Blue is just insane. The lyrics are fucking too wack to ignore and it's directionless (being basically a compilation)... but. It's also the sound of a band with some actual passion in their music again, something that's been dead for like ten years or resigned to the odd song or b-side.

yeah this is surprisingly great, though I definitely agree about the lyrics. Everyone is one of the biggest offenders, even though that riff is massive

I think it's strange that everyone here is hyping Weezers "New Album" and say that all of the songs would have improved their previous albums. I doubt that very much. How are autopilot or odd couple good songs? Even the songs from Raditude seemed more finished!

Of course I can't deny that there are some good songs on it, but I can say the same thing about previous albums

Most people would tell me that Raditude is too crisp and well produced...they want Weezer to sound dirty rough around the edges.

I love this album because it feels human. It sort of combines the mature emotion of their early work with the stupid quirky lyrics they adapted from the Red Album Foward. Autopilot is cool to me because it's stupid on the surface and almost skippable, but you realize he's talking about something else completely. And it's super melodic. That's the way I feel with every song. Unbreak My Heart is actually not that far out of place on the cd. The Odd Couple is kind of Meh...though. It's not a classic...but it's catchy and you can feel a much more mature presence on it.

This album is terrible. Hurley was better and thats saying something. Rivers drops another turd and for some reason most people seem to be liking it. I dont understand.
