Mac goes about eradicating his personal demons with a rapier wit as he 'unstitches his skin' on a ride that is brutally self-aware, sadistically comical, and always on point.

I'm guessing Mac Lethal's probably just not for you -- I mean, we can't all like the same stuff, right?
Yeah, but typically I can hear what others consider "good" regardless of if I appreciate it or not. Which is why this is weird.
Also, crank, stfu, you're being obnoxious. It isn't your job to be a grammar nazi.

Diceman also hates manly rock so I dont know hes kind of hard to please. At least he has 3 National albums 5'd like me.
Crank, thats good, but that would be stealing from you if I changed it now wouldnt it.

I mean, I find the beats to be top-notch on this disc, catchy, interesting yet they still give the rhymes room to breathe. Plus a lot of the songs are just catchy and good on a purely surface level imo -- even if you don't vibe with the lyrical content.
but the way he rhymes on this is great too. I love Slug, but pretty much everything he did from Lucy Ford onwards wasn't crazy on a lyrical level -- he never rhymed more than one or two syllables at a time (which is pretty standard for rappers, even acclaimed ones, so that's not a slight to Slug). But it's a very difficult thing to rhyme basically an entire line with the next one and still get your message across, like this:
would someone please remove this girl's number from my phone? i'm gonna pop and leave my honey-drop a cheesy message. my crew might hit you with the money shot and key your lexus, because we're jealous poets and we bunny-hop our bmx's til we tummy-flop. i want the scummy props and pet-names, and maybe a cute girl to give me stomach-knots and chest pains. i wanna pick your brain, i wanna kiss the flames you harbor, i wanna know your name, i wanna pick away your armor.
there's so much going on in those lines from a rhyming perspective that it just blows my mind

Not being obnoxious or a grammar nazi, just trying to help improve the review/his writing; I've already said it's a pretty good review. Wth is wrong with you people?
Crank, thats good, but that would be stealing from you if I changed it now wouldnt it.
Umm no, that's your work restructured - pretty sure you could use it.

a song so mind blowingly gut wrenching that if it doesn’t have an immediate impact feel free to consider yourself either the luckiest person alive or a budding socio-path incapable of connecting to emotion.
Love that line. And yeah, no bullshit 4.5 reviews for this.

I guess I can kinda see where you're coming from, that would be really hard to write let alone say but it isn't the type of rap I've ever been influenced towards. I'm all for wordplay and stuff like Em and Pharoahe(sp?) Monch but this just doesn't do it for me.

Very nice work Hans, but the sentence that Crank is pointing out is a little convoluted in terms of how you've got it worded
