Disturbed have released four albums, all of which sound the exact same
Wow, anyone else think Believe sounded EXACTLY like ten thousand fists? No? Me neither
Lyrically one of the worst written songs of all time
You musn't have listened to much music if you seriously think this

I don't get why so many people think Disturbed is so horrible, I mean, they're fairly decent for the genre.

Get your ears checked if you think this.

They are essentially the same
|
| |
they're really not.

They all appeal to the demographic for which they were made, the instrumental aspects are just as homogeneous as ever, and Dave still sounds the same on almost every track. I have no problem with you guys liking them, but saying they're not all of the same ilk is ridiculous

The review's pretty good Gyromania, but I do agree with the others here as these guys definitely progressed since this album as far as sound goes (whether the demographic remained the same or not is pretty irrelevant imo). They took a much more melodic road and on some of their newer works you can definitely hear more classical heavy metal influences while this is more or less a plain nu metal record.

Thanks dude, and yeah I get that their new material branches out somewhat from their nu-metal roots, but the band still sound the same to me throughout their careers. Like I said though, I don't have a problem with people liking disturbed and I was mostly as critical as I was for comedic effect. Thanks for the feedback.

The differences are there for anyone who pays attention. They sound as the same as any other band does who doesn't completely change from album to album.

Yeah I mean from a stylistical viewpoint the review's totally fine. The 7 negs are unwarranted.

Yeah, what can I say, I bring out the best in people! 11/17 kind of sucks considering there are no grammatical errors

Emim: Yes. Yes. I was thinking this. But I resisted saying.

Converge are actually good at what they do though. Regardless, I acknowledge that it isn't quite fair of me to state that, and I'm going to change it right now.

Idk, you're perfectly entitled not to like Disturbed and the genre as a whole might not be your thing; I just feel like those particular criticisms are a little misinformed.
It was a good review though.

Converge is good at what they do.
They're good at being utter nonsense.
