this is solid. probably a little worse than their first two but the new sound is pretty cool and i like that they've matured beyond meowing and such.

yeah i agree with you thus the "probably a little worse than their first two." this band had been
growing off me though so i'm pretty happy they altered their sound a bit. dust of retreat will
probably always be my favorite although animal/not animal are both sweet as well.

i used to like animal better but honestly they're about even in my mind. i wish they just settled on one of them though-- it's kind of difficult comparing their sophomore release with their debut when you have to compare their sophomore release to their sophomore release

I'm usually not a fan of reviews that spend over half of their length talking about something other than the music itself, but the two halves were tied in together well here and I quite enjoyed it. I have this, but I have not yet listened to it.
