Great Review! You're exactly right that these guys had promise, but dashed them. I immediately lost hope as soon as I heard they covered lollipop. And to answer one of the questions in the comments, Yes, they do get airtime here in the states (I'm in Florida) not as much as some of the bands mentioned in the summary (or maybe they do, I can't tell) but I assure you they'll get more airtime because of this.

its a shame, I really liked their debut. had a few really good tracks. I'll join you on your hopeless hoping, maybe one day they will wake up and realize they are actually talented musicians.

Thanks TRMshadow. I thought they would have got airtime over there. Especially with this album, it's just tailored radio-rock.

We will not be alone in our naivety PinkBlackberry.

Thanks Brah. I couldn't resist on both counts. Just trying to ram the point home.

Just finished listening to the whole album. What the fuck happened to this band?

I was expecting it to be mediocre...but it's worse than that. It's like they tried to write a very generic, poppish album for the sake of getting radio play.

The tracks you highlighted, along with Photographs & Gasoline, are really the only ones worth checking out on the CD. I think the guitar work here, at least on the tracks where they actually tried to make it sound good, are better than on the previous album.

Your review is spot on, good job once again.

Appreciate it Pessimist... You sort of summed up my review in a couple of sentences. And I can understand how someone might like 'Photographs & Gasoline' more than I did. Although, I probably disagree with you on the guitar-work, but then again, I am thinking over the course of the whole album.

Decided to listen to The Burn because you said it was near-epic, but ehh. And the dudes vocals aren't strong at all, actually they're pretty annoying.
