It may technically be their 6th release, but New Jersey pop-punk act Man Overboard have finally got around to recording their debut LP proper: 'Real Talk'. While their influences are readily apparent, the quartet play an energetic & youthful brand of melodic pop-punk which strongly relies upon the dual vocal attack of Zac Eisenstein & Nik Bruzzese. It's relatively simple stuff & only the re-recorded 'Montrose' reaches any spectacular heights, but 'Real Talk' is quite simply too fun & catchy to dislike. Recommended Tracks: Montrose, She's Got Her Own Man Now, Al Sharpton & Septemberism.
