The problem with this album for me, is that I find it hard to listen to the album thru-and-thru. It seems to get a bit repetitive. TLKW has more variety and keeps my attention better tbqh
whoaaa I have this a 4.5/5!? i had no idea...It should be 3.5, haha...let me change that...This Message Edited On 02.07.08

Thats weird. I was actually dissapointed with the new album. The only songs I really love is Head On To Heartache and Clouds Over California. I don't know I can listen to this album more than the new one. TLKW is lacking the oomph of Grinfucked or the grimness of Hold Back The Day or even of the stellar title track.

TBH, I'm a gimp when it comes to this kind of music, and it was a bit too heavy for me (haha...serious), and TLKW wasn't as crazy. Although Sin and Sacrifice is probably one of my favorite DD songs.

Has anybody heard the bonus tracks? I'd rate them higher than I would the majority of the rest of the album. "Digging Up the Corpses" was on Resident Evil: Extinction soundtrack its one of their finest pieces man.
Havent bought their new album yet. Still trying to get around to it.

i think it's their lead singer, i don't know, but he has his septum pierced and the gauge is huge. it's pretty rad. the picture i saw had him with a see through green ring in it and it was like as thick as a pencil.
anyway, @ raisethyfist: your username is awesome.

I agree, Dez is a great vocalist. Hold Back The Day is my favorite song on this album. I would probably label them as Melodic Death Metal.

i relate this band to five finger death punch, not because the 2 bands sound alike, but, because all i can think of with 5FDP is motogrator with metal riffs, and with Devil Driver i just hear coal chamber with metal riffs... but with that said devildriver is better at what they do in my opinion than 5FDPThis Message Edited On 08.01.08

Boring my ass. 1.2.3 the above two. Grinbfucked ahs the most evil opening riff i've ever heard. Hold Back The Day was my single in 06, still is mighty awesome.

Great album actually, I was quite surprised. Its darker than TLKW and more mature than DD, it's their best album overall.
It's easier to 'genre-fy' their albums more than them as a whole in my personal opinion.
DD - Nu-metal
TFOOMH - Melo-death
TLKW - Metalcore
