This isn't a whole lot different than Empire though, it just stripped the longer ambient sections for a more traditional rock sound. And even then it's pretty varied.

Nic's new album, "Mercury" is out now and very enjoyable. Might step out of my hiatus and review that one. Doesn't reach the highs that this one or his debut reaches in my opinion, but it's probably his most consistent and cohesive album.
