I find it funny how SOME people who rate albums at a 4 say that the album is "good" when clearly in the ratings on sputnik a 4 is considered excellent. I'm just throwing that out there folks.

when i first joined i was really a stickler for what the rating said they meant...like i gave sound of madness a 3.5 because i thought it was great, but not excellent.



i even had TDAG at a 4.5 for an entire year. i have significantly loosened up since then though

I used to be a tightass too. In my first year here, I never gave a single album a 5 for some reason. Now, I'm a bit more lenient with ratings, especially with the 5's and 4.5's.

Okay Ties, you caught me. On that album, there's a useless track called Dear Death Part 1 I think. Yes, in theory a bad track voids the album from getting a classic rating but God help me, the rest is just too damn good.

I guess you're right Ties. In fact, most of my 5's fall in that category where there's perhaps 1 or 2 songs that just aren't up to par with the rest.
