This sucks so bad. Just listened to the first few seconds of Illusion of Power, extremely ridiculous crap.

sadly, thanks to this album, some people thinks that Cozy Powell was a bad drummer... R.I.P to one of the greatests drummers in the history.

Guilty as Hell of being a Bad Album.

I like some of the riffs here and there, but my god those vocals are atrocious and butcher the album entirely. This album is Forbidden for any Sabbath fan to like it.

I heard somewhere that Tony Martin said the original lineup just saw this as a filler album which Tony couldn't even be bothered to try on, it was just to fulfil the contract and get rid of the rest of the lineup so the original lineup can reunite for stuff.
|
| |
Sounds about right. It would be worrying if they actually did try when making this.
|
| |
Well apparently the other members (Martin included) tried cos they had no idea, but if your lead songwriter isn't then you're all gonna get dragged down too.

This album is pretty mediocre. Most of the hate from this album orbits around Illusion Of Power, which, in all sincerity, is one of the worst things I've ever heard. But the rest of the album is alright I guess, there are some decent songs here and there but most of it is just bland.
I'd still rank this higher than Technical Ecstasy, Never Say Die, or Headless Cross.

TE and Never Say Die destroy this

Agreed, this is ridiculous. The vocal line on Illusion of Power is laughable.

This is bad, think Seventh Star might be worse, though.

Seventh Star sounds a bit like washed up Rainbow or Deep Purple but I enjoy it much more than this one.
|
| |
Seventh Star is actually pretty good, it's just not a Sabbath album. Definitely not worse than this.

Seventh Star is better than this, but its not a Sabbath album definitely. It was to be released as Iommi's solo album, but the label forced him to put Black Sabbath's name on it.
