Damn every album that has jonny on it always turns into "He's a good singer, but he's such a douche bag." We've heard it all before, it doesn't matter. Plus when someone asked what made him an asshole pretty much all we got were people claiming he was a nice guy when they met him.
He probably is arrogant, but I'd be arrogant too if I could sing like him. I don't want to defend him if he is a total dick, but let's talk about the album because that's a new and exciting topic, which I am about to start listening to.

The very first line of this album also gives me shivers, it's not a big powerful bellow like that in 'The Past Should Stay Dead'; its a really quiet, chill vocal line that just sounds so fricking good.

Good. Nothing more. It's becoming harder and harder to differentiate between each song. They all sound the same. He has an amazing voice and a few good tunes but nothing compares to Downtown Battle.

Totally agree Charlie, the guy clearly has no idea how to write more than one type of hook.
He believes his own hype too much.

I think Relativity had some really great songs, and some others that dragged and blended together. Idk how it is for everyone else, but after a few listens i can differentiate the songs on their new EP better than Relativity. Also I loled at the begining of 1 of the songs when he says.. "no matter how hard you fucking try..." Pretay cheezy haha but overall solid album.

@ iRefuse, I'm pretty sure that's what he's saying.
And yeah, I was expecting to like this more than Relativity. And maybe I do, but I definitely can't be sure of that after first listen. It's alright though.

AtavanHalen - Mate, Amity shits on this
iRefuse - Yeah, maybe a little better
sspedding - Oh and I didn't mention that his lyrics don't help either. They adequately support his cocky attitude

How exactly do the lyrics 'adequately support his cocky attitude'?

This album is good, but it's not really that memorable of an album. I had really high expectations for this one. I was hoping I'd get something really new and outstanding. Sadly, no. Here's why: Jonny seems to be recycling the same singing style throughout the album as if he did recording all in one day. He's a vocally talented guy and I wouldn't doubt it, but they didn't have much of a variety besides the painful "The Weight of Love Blinds Eyes" and the lyrically cheesy, "Live it. Love it. Lust it" Also, choruses are abundant in this one that somehow "solidify" their sound. Granted, their songs do sound more structured, they often follow the same formula and the songs throughout end up sounding the same. If you're interested more into what Jonny does, you'll negate the band performance and would probably give the album an "excellent" rating. But as this is a band, I consider all members. They all equally did good. I expect them to be bigger as they seemed to have sold any creativity out for fame. It's more of a mature "Ghost Runner on Third" sound than an Emarosa album. Peace and Love.
