I thought it was a nice poem. I wouldn't call it a review, though, since it can be interpreted to be describing anything from terminator to left4dead to resident evil to every post apocalyptic story ever written.

Maybe not quite house enough for him?
I could maybe accept that excuse.

thebhoy i really didn't steal any of this from anywhere that doesn't mean it's original it just means it's not thieved
mj i'm not gonna 'explain' it which probably means you'll neg it
like what i wrote for deja entendu the basic idea is that this review = the album's effect although obviously not as good since this is my favourite album ever
glad that people at least find it interesting

i honestly dunno lewis. it wasn't a rush-job, but i made sure i wasn't stupidly meticulous either; the idea has been floating around to do something along these lines for a long time (i told a few people this would be my 100th like i said) and gradually i'd built up a number of ideas pertaining to it. came out in about 1 and a half hours in the end, but i didn't want to destroy it. i can understand what you're saying though, and when i read it back even though i'm happy with it i'm not sure i'm AS happy as i maybe should be when i'm writing about my favourite record evAr. might even be a bit short; i'll try to revisit it sometime soon & have a think.
i expected a fair number of negs and it's obviously not meant to be a replacement for Keelan's review or Adam's or Med's... just a supplementary piece if anyone's browsing. and yeah, MJ, free association is a good way of explaining it, although it hopefully isn't entirely senseless in terms of conceptual links either.

Does need more Mad Max

I think it's interesting as a piece of literature. Very engaging and obviously thought out but as a review it doesn't do much for me, even when read as a concept review. Still, I enjoyed it.

I think Lewis pretty well summed up my criticisms on this as well. You seem to breeze over some images, which are nice foundations, but when you don't add something to them, that's when they feel derivative (at least to me). It is fairly well written, however, but idk I just spent a year in a small, elite creative writing group so I'm super ready to find the bad parts of anything before the good parts.
